About the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod
The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod’s mission is to support and strengthen a vibrant and diverse arts and cultural sector for everyone in our region. Our Arts Access Program removes financial and logistical barriers so that every child has the opportunity to experience the arts. Each year, we impact more than 5,000 Cape youth through bus stipends, scholarships, and grants that turn cultural opportunities into meaningful experiences.
Position Overview
The Arts Access Program Coordinator will lead the continued growth of this impactful initiative. This person will oversee bus stipends, youth scholarships, and access-focused grants, while also building partnerships with schools, community organizations, and cultural institutions. The Coordinator will also support the development and management of a new program curriculum as part of the Arts Foundation’s commitment to expanding access and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with schools, teachers, and youth-serving agencies.
- Conduct outreach to cultural organizations and artists with aligned goals.
- Represent the Arts Foundation at community events, school fairs, and partner meetings.
Program Management
- Administer bus stipends and scholarship applications.
- Track and respond to applications, inquiries, and awards.
- Coordinate access-focused grants to organizations expanding cultural opportunities.
- Support the rollout and management of a developing program curriculum.
Storytelling & Communications
- Capture and share stories of impact with the development and communications teams.
- Promote program updates and success stories through newsletters, social media, and partner updates.
Tracking & Evaluation
- Maintain systems to track applicants, partners, and demographic data.
- Audit program impact and contribute to long-term strategy development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, education, nonprofit management, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in program coordination, education, arts access, or nonprofit work.
- Experience recruiting, training, or engaging volunteers strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; skilled in storytelling.
- Experience working across sectors (education, social services, arts) preferred.
- Proficiency with digital tools (such as Google Workspace, databases; Submittable experience a plus).
- Creative, adaptable, and mission-driven, with the ability to work independently.
Details
- Part-time, 30 hours/week at $35/hour
- This position requires reliable transportation to and from events across Cape Cod. Applicants must be able to travel to community sites, schools, and cultural organizations as part of the role.
- This is not a remote role; the position is based on Cape Cod with time spent in the office and traveling to community sites.
