Fiscal Sponsorship Application for Artist Projects/Programs
Ends on
Application Guidelines
Artist Project applicants will need:
- A minimum project budget of $5,000. This money does not need to be committed before applying or being accepted into our program.
- A plan of how you will raise funds to accomplish your project.
- A clear scope and start and projected end dates. (You may have multiple projects in fiscal sponsorship; however, each requires its own application.)
- A social security number.
- Applicants may not be enrolled in a degree-seeking program of any kind.
Application Requirements:
Applications for Artist Projects will need to answer questions related to the following topics.
- Brief project summary
- Overview of project goals
- Details about your audience, project timeline, and public benefit*
*Fiscally-sponsored projects must benefit the public in some way. That could include a subject screening, exhibition, performance, or talk exploring an issue or otherwise offering an opportunity for an underrepresented group of people. Because donations to fiscally-sponsored projects are tax-deductible, projects must add value to the public sphere and not only benefit the artist.
- Budget, including income (with specific sources of funding listed) and expenses. Please use budget template provided on the Arts Foudnation's website.
- Fundraising strategy clearly stating how you intend to raise the income listed in your budget and how you will utilize an Arts Foundation Fiscal Sponsorship in this plan.
- Resume(s) for principal artist(s)/or administrator(s).
- Work samples (from this project or a past related project).
- A minimum of one and up to three letters of support.
This application is for artists projects only. If you are interested in creating a nonprofit 501c3, please contact Julie Wake via email at jwake@artsfoundation.org.
